IGNITING THE SPIRIT OF SPORTSMANSHIP ON SPORTS DAY AT CARMEL,RATANPUR.

The vibrant Sports Day at Carmel Convent, Ratanpur was held on 25 November from 9 a.m. in the School playground

The auspicious event commenced with the dignified escort of the Chief Guest Dr.R k Mishra ,DIG CRPF BANGRASIA, to the venue, an embodiment of honour and prestige.

Amidst a spirit-laden atmosphere, the School Flag was unfurled, resonating with the melodic rendition of the School Anthem.

The School Principal extended a warm welcome, delivering an eloquent address, gracefully presenting a bouquet as a gesture of appreciation.

SPIC MACAY's enthralling showcase of Tribal Dance and Chattisgarhi dance captivated the audience, setting the tone for the day's festivities.

The symbolic passing of the torch to the Sports Minister, Ms.Sneha Pal marked the official commencement of the sporting events, underscoring the importance of sports in education.

The illumination of the ceremonial lamp by National players of Carmel , Ratanpur added a touch of prestige, complemented by the symbolic release of balloons and doves into the sky.

With the resounding declaration of the Sports Meet being open by the Chief Guest, the stage was set for a day filled with athleticism and camaraderie.

The Lazium and Bamboo Drill unfolded with precision and finesse, showcasing the students' dedication to discipline and coordination.

A profound message from the esteemed Chief Guest resonated with the audience, echoing sentiments of encouragement and inspiration.

The day unfolded into a medley of track events, along with Chess, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, and Kho-Kho, each displaying the participants' prowess and sportsmanship.

In parallel, parents engaged in spirited activities such as Tug of War, balancing books on their heads, and the needle and thread race, adding an extra layer of joy and participation.

The crowning moment arrived with the conferral of awards, as Niagra House clinched the Overall Championship Award, epitomizing excellence, while Victoria House was honoured with the Best Discipline Award.

The ceremonial closure by the Principal was accompanied by a poignant beating retreat, harmonized with the resonant strains of the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride.

In a gracious conclusion, a vote of thanks was proposed by the Head Girl ,Manya Shrivastava acknowledging the collective effort that brought the Sports Day to fruition.
