SHIKSHA SAPTAH -DAY 6 -ECO CLUBS FOR MISSION LIFE /SCHOOL NUTRITION
As part of Shiksha Saptah, Day 6 was celebrated as Eco Clubs For Mission LIFE /School Nutrition on 27 /7/24. With increasing awareness of environmental issues, schools are taking significant steps to incorporate eco-friendly practices and education into their curriculum. Establishing eco clubs and organizing plantation drives are two effective ways to engage students in environmental conservation and sustainability practices. This report outlines the establishment of new eco clubs in schools and the organization of plantation drives.
In order to create a meaningful impact on the environment and strengthen community collaborative efforts, parents and students were initiated by organizing a plantation drive. To showcase the bonds between students, mothers, and the surrounding ecology, a sapling drive by students and their mothers was conducted. Students also participated in an event where they created and displayed placards with messages promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
Nutrition Day as part of the ongoing Shiksha Saptah was also celebrated on July 27, 2024. The day focused on promoting healthy eating habits among students. A special 'thithi bhojan' was organized, highlighting the importance of nutritious food in a child's overall development. The event aimed to create awareness about balanced diets and the significance of consuming wholesome meals.
