PARENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

PARENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The Parent Orientation Programme for the Nursery and Kindergarten classes was successfully conducted on 14 February 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the school auditorium. The session was facilitated by the esteemed resource person, Mrs. Neetu Joshi. The primary objective of the programme was to familiarise parents with the academic framework and pedagogical practices adopted for the holistic development of young learners. A comprehensive overview of the curriculum, co-scholastic activities, and innovative teaching methodologies was presented to help parents understand how the school nurtures creativity, confidence, and independence in children.
During the session, Mrs. Joshi emphasised the growing concern of mobile addiction among children and encouraged parents to divert their wards’ attention towards creative and constructive pursuits. She highlighted the importance of maintaining a harmonious home environment, advising parents to avoid conflicts in front of their children, as such experiences deeply affect their emotional well-being. Addressing the alarming rise in cases of self-harm among youngsters, she urged parents to remain vigilant, emotionally available, and supportive. She also stressed the need to promote healthy eating habits by avoiding junk food and encouraging children to eat independently rather than being fed constantly. Parents were advised not to spoon-feed their children, but instead to allow them to learn, explore, and solve problems on their own, thereby fostering resilience and self-reliance. The programme concluded with an interactive session that witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents and successfully laid a strong foundation for a collaborative partnership between the school and families.
