30TH CBSE NATIONAL ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Mrs. Bindu Rajeev and Dr. Runa Paul from Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ratanpur attended the 30th CBSE National Annual Conference held in Kolkata on 6th &7th December 2024. The conference emphasized transformative initiatives, including the mandatory implementation of SAFAL and SQAAF frameworks to enhance school quality and learning outcomes. Key discussions included introducing two levels of Science and Social Science for Classes IX and X, mandatory Health and Physical Education, and skill-based subjects. Experiential learning, environmental awareness, and cybersecurity education were highlighted. Schools were advised to maintain a 40:1 student-teacher ratio, promote hands-on teaching methods, discourage rote learning, and improve infrastructure facilities. A case study on Data-Driven Decision Making: was published in E book published by CBSE Sahodaya School Complex -Kolkata. This case study from the CBSE Sahodaya School Complex-Kolkata conference highlights how Sr. Rose Tom, Principal of Carmel School, Ratanpur, utilized data-driven decision-making to align pedagogy with NEP 2020 and NCF 2022 frameworks. By leveraging insights from assessments, feedback, and technology, the school enhanced academic outcomes, extracurricular engagement, and holistic development.
TEACHER EXCELLENCE AWARD 2024-25
Mrs. Sandesha Dani got the Teacher Excellence Award 2024-25, organized by Rotary Club Of Bhoj Bhopal. A total of 22 teachers of different schools of Bhopal have received that award on the basis of their achievements and students voting. Their selection process started from 03/09/24 .
SOF BEST PRINCIPAL AWARD FOR INDIAN TALENT OLYMPIAD
Rev. Sr. Rose Tom was honoured with the prestigious SOF Best Principal Award on ranking among the top 1,000 principals from the best schools out of 1.5 lakh schools across India. This LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD was presented to her on the eve of Teacher's Day, recognizing her exceptional dedication to the field of education. As a token of appreciation, she received a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a SONATA watch valued at Rs. 5,000, and a Best Principal trophy. Her unwavering commitment to shaping the future generation is truly inspiring. The school celebrated her achievement and felicitated her on her Feast Day.
ELEVATE - SCHOOL LEADERS CONCLAVE
On July 20, 2024, the Elevate - School Leaders Conclave was held at the Radisson Hotel Bhopal, organized by Extramarks. The conclave brought together esteemed educational leaders to discuss building a robust STEM ecosystem in schools. Our school was represented by Sr. Rosetom, Mrs. Bindu Rajeev, Dr. Runa Paul, and Mrs. Vibha Biji. Dr. Poonam Jamwal, Director of Extramarks, delivered a keynote address, sharing her expertise on strategies and best practices for fostering a vibrant STEM culture. The panel discussion explored essential elements, including integrating STEM concepts, hands-on learning, teacher training, and industry collaboration. The conclave provided a valuable platform for educational leaders to exchange ideas and gain insights, empowering students to develop critical thinking skills and a strong foundation for future STEM success

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE: TEACHERS AND STUDENTS HONOURED FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS
On Carmel Day, our school recognized and felicitated teachers who guided students to achieve perfect scores in various subjects. For Class X, the felicitated teachers were Ms. Sandesha Dani, Ms. Sheela Joseph, and Ms. Leena Shukla for Science, Sangeeta Yadav for Sanskrit, and Bindi Murlidharan for Maths. For Class XII AISSCE, Ms. Pragati Vijay and Ms. Bindu Dalal were honored for helping students achieve 100% in Chemistry. Additionally, teachers with 100% attendance were also felicitated, including Ms. Bindu Rajeev, Ms. Sarita V, and Ms. Simi Mol Scaria ,Mini Saxena , Nidhi Saxena, Sherly Clitus , Jagatheeshan Indumati ,Boby Minj and Anita Tirke.
