CARMEL KRIDA MAHOTSAVAM: WINGS & WONDERS
The Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm on 27th November, 2024, in the school playground. The event was graced by Shri Riyaz Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhopal, as the Chief Guest, and Rev. Mother Pavithra, Provincial Superior of Mount Carmel Province, Bhopal, as the Guest of Honour. The meticulously organized program showcased teamwork, discipline, and athletic prowess, creating an unforgettable experience for all.
The festivities commenced with a Grand Reception, welcoming esteemed dignitaries and special guests. This was followed by the Honour Parade, which evoked pride and admiration. The ceremonial Flag Unfurling, accompanied by the Carmel Anthem, symbolized unity and set the tone for the day.
The Inspection of the March Past, led by the chief guest, highlighted the students’ discipline and precision. The Torch Ceremony and the Oath-Taking by the participants further reinforced the spirit of sportsmanship. The Sports Meet was officially declared open, filling the atmosphere with excitement and anticipation.
The cultural segment featured a captivating Welcome Dance and a melodious Prayer Song, reflecting the harmony of mind and body. A striking Malkhamb Display demonstrated extraordinary strength and coordination, leaving the audience in awe. Students of Classes VIII and IX showcased a powerful performance titled Terra Warriors, celebrating teamwork and resilience. Younger students from Nursery to Class I added a touch of delight with their playful Aqua Sprouts activities.
The sporting events were conducted in various categories, bringing out the competitive spirit among the students. Each event was met with enthusiastic participation and cheers from the spectators.
The day’s proceedings also included a Report Presentation, offering a detailed overview of the event’s highlights. The tableau accompanying the report beautifully depicted the essence of the day. A special address by Mother Pavithra provided words of encouragement, leaving the audience inspired and motivated.
Victoria was awarded the title of Best Discipline, while Niagara received recognition for the Best March Past. The coveted title of Overall Championship was proudly claimed by Angel House.
The Annual Sports Day 2024 was a grand success, underscoring the school’s commitment to nurturing physical fitness, teamwork, and excellence. It left an indelible mark on everyone present, creating cherished memories to treasure.
