Carmel Convent Sr. Secondary School, Ratanpur, celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (Tribal Pride Day) on November 11th, 2025 with a special and inspiring assembly organized by the students of Class III D. The event commenced with a heartfelt tribute to the revered freedom fighter, Bhagwan Birsa Munda, as the Principal Sister, Rev. Sister Rose Tom, offered a floral tribute. The assembly then proceeded to honor his legacy by immediately introducing the key moments and significance of Birsa Munda’s life story. Throughout the program, his motivational quotes were prominently displayed, underscoring his philosophical depth and courage for the students.
The students of Class III D brought the rich tribal culture and Birsa Munda's resistance movement to life through captivating performances. The audience was treated to a vibrant Tribal Dance, showcasing the community's heritage. This was followed by a powerful, short skit that brilliantly highlighted Birsa Munda's bravery, exceptional leadership, and his pivotal role in the tribal freedom movement against the British colonial rule. The entire assembly was a meaningful blend of history, culture, and patriotism, effectively celebrating the invaluable contribution of tribal communities to India's struggle for independence.
