NATIONAL SPACE DAY

Special Assembly of X D
The students of Class X D conducted the morning assembly on 23rd August with the theme “National Space Day.” The assembly was organized to mark India’s celebration of the second National Space Day, commemorating the historic achievement of Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing of the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover on the lunar surface.
The programme began with the morning prayer, followed by thought for the day and news headlines. Thereafter, the students presented a special segment on National Space Day, highlighting the significance of this occasion in India’s journey of space exploration. They explained that this day is observed to recognize the nation’s advancements in space technology, inspire the younger generation to take interest in STEM fields, and spread awareness about the importance of space research for the future.
The students emphasized that it was on 23rd August 2023 that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi declared the day as National Space Day to honour the glorious success of Chandrayaan-3. Since then, the nation has been celebrating this day with great pride and enthusiasm, showcasing India’s progress from Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan — Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Frontiers.
The assembly concluded with an inspiring message that motivated students to dream big, aim high, and contribute towards India’s future achievements in science and technology.
