CELEBRATING THE DIVINE BOND: GURU PURNIMA
Guru Purnima was celebrated at Carmel , Ratanpur on 9 th July 2025 with deep reverence and joy, honouring the timeless bond between teachers and students. The event began with a sacred reading from The Holy Bible , followed by a heartfelt prayer , setting a devotional tone for the occasion.
The School Manager Rev Sr Shalom , the Vice Principal Rev .Sr Josmin, esteemed retiring teachers, and senior faculty kindled the ceremonial lamp together, its flame representing the enduring glow of guidance and knowledge.
Class VI A conducted a special assembly , starting with the chant "Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara", emphasizing the divine role of a Guru. Thought-provoking quotes , a soulful prayer song , and a touching poem highlighted the Guru’s significance in shaping lives. A beautiful dance performance further enriched the celebration, depicting the Guru-Shishya tradition with grace.
A special moment of recognition followed as veteran teachers were graciously honored - their shoulders bedecked with fragrant garlands while receiving meaningful mementos of appreciation. Vice Principal Rev. Sr. Josmin delivered an inspiring speech, reminding everyone of the Guru’s role in guiding, correcting, and moulding students, and urged them to always respect their teachers. The Head Boy proposed a vote of thanks , appreciating the efforts of all participants, and the event concluded with the National Anthem .
The celebration beautifully captured the essence of Guru Purnima, reinforcing the values of gratitude, respect, and lifelong learning . The phrase "Guru Me Sansar" (The Guru is the universe) resonated deeply, leaving everyone with a sense of reverence for their teachers.
