Carmel School Ratanpur celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on 16th June 2025. The event not only highlighted the importance of environmental conservation but also marked the formal welcome of the new team of sisters.
The day began with Rev. Sr Ancilla warmly welcoming the newly appointed sisters, including Rev. Mother Shalom, the School Manager, Rev. Sr Reji, and Rev. Sr Josmin, the Vice Principal. Their gracious presence brought a spirit of hope and renewal to the institution.
To mark the occasion, the students of Class 10 A conducted a special assembly on the theme: “When we heal our Earth, we heal ourselves.” The assembly commenced with a soulful prayer song, followed by an earnest prayer invoking blessings for a greener and healthier planet.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a thought-provoking skit titled “A Day Without Environment,” which powerfully conveyed the message that every element of nature plays a vital role in our lives. The skit stirred deep reflection among students and teachers alike.
The event also featured vibrant dances and melodious songs, creatively emphasizing the urgency to preserve and protect the environment. The Environment Day Pledge was solemnly taken by all present, affirming the collective commitment to build a cleaner, greener, and healthier world.
The chorus “Take care of the Earth, and the Earth will take care of you” echoed through the campus as students performed a heartfelt song dedicated to a beautiful and sustainable environment.
The celebration concluded with the prize distribution ceremony for the NCC competitions, where winners were honoured for their outstanding performances in various categories. The joy and pride on the faces of the awardees reflected the spirit of dedication and discipline instilled by the NCC.
Overall, the World Environment Day celebration was a meaningful blend of awareness, creativity, and commitment, reminding everyone of their shared responsibility towards Mother Earth.
