Government of India formulated and launched information security Education and Awareness project.
One of the activities under this Programme is to spread Information Security Awareness among children & women, teachers, home users, IT and non - IT professionals throughout the country.

 Day 15 SWACHHATA HI SEVA DAY

SWACHHATA SHAPATH DAY

Day 1 : Swachhata Shapath Day: Carmel Convent Sr. sec. School, Ratanpur, Bhopal took a mission to spread awareness about Swachhata among students & the society. The mission began with Swachhata Shapath. All house captains along with the entire team of prefects, all students & teachers took Oath of keeping school, home, locality & city clean. Thereafter our Principal delivered the speech telling us the importance of sanitation.





SWACHHATA AWARENESS DAY


In connection with swachhata Pakhwada, seminar on the "Importance of Cleanliness & Sanitation" was organized for the students of classes VI & VII. Various cleanliness & hygienic aspects were discussed in Seminar to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness & its benefits.
A team of teachers inspected sanitary facilities in each and every corner of school, particularly cleanliness in toilets, canteen kitchen, classrooms, campus & the surrounding areas. Due to action was taken in the required areas.








GREEN SCHOOL DRIVE


 
To promote "Clean School Green School" a team of volunteers took the step to keep school clean by creating awareness among students regarding use of dustbins. Senior class students (XI) explained the use of Blue dustbin for recyclable waste and Green dustbin for unrecyclable waste materials and also different ways of reusing waste materials. Under the theme 'Go Green', tree plantation Programme was held in School Premises. The school Principal, teachers and students planted saplings.







SWACHHATA PARTICIPATION DAY


1. Essay competition on the topic Cleanliness & Hygiene Practices in Schools" was organised for students of classes IX & X.
2. The students of classes VI - XII made inspiring paintings for the promotion of cleanliness and hygiene. 
3. On the same day, Poem writing & Slogan writing competition on topic "Swachhata" were conducted.


HAND WASH DAY

On this day students of Pre - primary classes were taught to wash their hands while using all the six steps of proper hand washing before and after eating. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness about the benefits of hand washing to reduce Plethara of illness and infections.


PERSONAL HYGIENE DAY

1. A short audio Visual awareness session on personal hygiene was conducted for students of classes IV –V. This session illustrated the importance of comprehensive cleaning to maintain good health and better personality in society. 

2. Secondly class X students explained classes III – V, the importance of trimming the nails and keeping it clean. Since nails accumulate dirt and spread infections. Proper guidance regarding good hygiene was given.


COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION DAY

1. A team of volunteers along with the teachers went to the near by areas of the school to make people aware the importance of cleanliness in their areas. People were requested not to use Polythene bags. Paper bags were distributed among them. 2. In the morning assembly waste water management methods were explained.



SWACHHATA SCHOOL EXHIBITION DAY

1. This day was Swachhata School Exhibition Day. It was an organized Presentation & display of selected items of photographs, paintings, slogans, poems, etc. Students & parents admired & appreciated the work of artists for propogating cleanliness and hygiene by their presentations. 

2. Students and teachers had created Pakhwada & uploaded on School Website.





SWACHH WATER DAY

1. In the morning assembly, awareness on water borne diseases was created to promote clean and safe drinking water. 

2. A team of teachers checked drinking water storage tanks, cleanliness of drinking water places, condition of water purifiers. They found that the water was safe for drinking.




WATER HARVESTING DAY

1. Teachers & students discussed the need of water harvesting as well as various methods of water harvesting. Students observed the water harvesting system implemented in the school and were encouraged to do the same at their homes.



LETTER WRITING DAY

1. Students took initiative to bring the required change of Cleanliness and hygiene in their homes, locality and city by writing a letter to their parents, Sarpanch and SMC members.
