The feast of St. Chavara was commemorated admist great solemnity. St. Chavara, the pioneer of education, took a keen interest in the upliftment of underpriviledged classes, the orphans and the poor. He stood as the champion for the cause of women and the dalits. The students of class IV C well depicted the life and vision of St. Chavara in their special prayer service laying emphasis on his advice to the children of his time who went to the school because of his motivation. Rev. Sr. Rosmy, in her address elaborated the contribution of this great saint who was instrumental in giving birth to two congregations CMI and CMC.
